One Week Left to Donate an FFA Jacket

Posted by FFA Foundation on 08/25/2017

You have one week to change a FFA members life forever. About 150 jackets have been donated to the Blue Jackets. Bright Futures. Program, but our goal is 300. Last year we had over 600 applicants. We would like to be able to give as many students jackets, but we need your help. $100 can provide a FFA member with a jacket and tie or scarf.

Here is a glimpse of some of the FFA members that received jackets last year thanks to your generous donations.

This quote comes from a letter sent in from a FFA advisor last year. "As an 8th grader he secured a loan to purchase his first breeding heifers for his SAE project. Unfortunately, one of those heifers died after purchase making it a costly learning experience. He is still moving forward with his plans for a cow herd and continues to set goals. He is responsible for purchasing his own FFA jacket and with the financial setback he recently encountered, a jacket would be very much appreciated by him."

Another quote from a letter sent in by an advisor. "She is raised by her grandparents due to poor choices her parents made. This is a huge financial burden for her grandparents raising four girls between the ages of 10 and 18."

Last glimpse of FFA members in need of an FFA jacket. "Although she does not have a background in agriculture, she excelled in 8th grade agriculture. Receiving a FFA jacket scholarship would really be beneficial to her because she is a very hard working student, but her efforts are not often recognized. She has many siblings, which makes it hard to afford a FFA jacket. I would give her my highest recommendation."

You can help FFA members like the ones above by going to Blue Jackets. Bright Futures. donation page or sending your donation to
